June 16 witnessed Salt Lake Sector V come together to celebrate the World Music Day and pay a tribute to Bob Dylan, the American songwriter, singer, and Nobel Prize laureate. The musical event took place under the platform called Inspirations initiated by Infinity in association with Salt Lake Sector V Stakeholder’s Association and Pankaj Mullick Music and Art Foundation.The event started with felicitating the dignitaries present namely Mr. Pawan Agarwal, Director, NK Realtors & Srijan Realty, Mr. Jun Rae Cho, President, Korean Association of Kolkata, and Mr. Vinaya Varma, CEO, mjunction. Ananya Mitra of Infinity Business Centre and Anindya Chakraborty began the show with popular numbers of the 1960s’ voice-of-a-generation folk singer Bob Dylan.This was followed by performances by Rajib and Jhinuk Gupta along with the foundation students who presented several numbers of Dylan and its renditions in Bengali popular music by Anjan Dutta and Kabir Suman.Towards the end Starting with Mozart, the mjunction band took the audience on a musical journey of eras. Satyajit Ray, Harry Belafonte, Bon Jovi, Jagjit Singh, Peter Paul and Mary, Kailash Kher and several other artists were remembered through their performances.
